Questions, answered honestly.
Is an intensive right for us?
+
Intensives work best for couples who are willing to be present and honest, even if you're in conflict or crisis. They're a strong fit for affair recovery, chronic gridlock, considering separation, or wanting a deep reset. They're not appropriate when there's active untreated addiction or domestic violence — we'll talk through fit on our consultation call.
Do you take insurance?
+
Intensives are private-pay. I provide a superbill you can submit to your PPO for potential out-of-network reimbursement. Many couples find the total investment is comparable to — or less than — a year of weekly therapy, and a fraction of the financial and emotional cost of a divorce.
Can we do this virtually?
+
Yes. Roughly half my intensive clients are virtual, working from a quiet home or hotel suite. Outcomes are clinically equivalent to in-person work for most couples.
What if one of us is more reluctant?
+
Very normal. I'll have a brief individual call with each of you before we begin so the reluctant partner has a chance to ask questions privately. Many of my best outcomes have started with one hesitant partner.
How soon can we start?
+
I usually have intensive openings 4–6 weeks out, with occasional sooner availability for urgent situations. Reach out and I'll share current openings.
What happens after the intensive?
+
Every intensive includes follow-up sessions to support integration. Some couples continue working with me periodically; others return to a local weekly therapist with a clear roadmap. There's no obligation either way.
