I've spent 30 years helping couples save what they thought was already lost.
The work I do — and why I do it.

Hi, I'm Athena.
I became a Marriage & Family Therapist because I wanted to be present at love's most critical moments — when trust is shattered, when communication has completely broken down, when one partner is already researching divorce attorneys. That's not where most therapists want to sit. It's exactly where I've chosen to.
For over three decades, I've worked exclusively with couples — thousands of them — through affairs, years of gridlock, emotional shutdown, and the slow drift that can quietly end a marriage. My training in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Solution Focused couples therapy gives me a rigorous clinical foundation. But what actually changes things is my willingness to go to the hard places with you — and stay there until something shifts.
Most of my work now happens through private intensives — 1 and 2-day deep dives conducted online, for couples who are serious about doing the work and need real results, not incremental progress.
I live with my husband of 30 years. We love to travel, entertain friends and family, and spend time with our three daughters — along with one very loud dog who thinks he runs the place. My marriage isn't perfect — no long one is — but I know intimately what it asks of you to keep showing up for the same person, year after year. Whether you're the one still fighting for this or the one who's nearly given up, I've sat with hundreds of couples in exactly that place — and I don't scare easily. After three decades of doing it, I still find this work sacred.
